Travel in Puerto Lempira

The main mode of transportation in Puerto Lempira is walking. Kayla and the girls can get pretty much anywhere in town on foot. However, there are certain situations where a vehicle is needed. These situations would include:
  • Transportation of supplies (household items, purified water, food)
  • Transportation for needs assessments in outer lying villages
  • Transportation of young women and girls to and from town for legal or medical services
  • Safe travels during nightime hours
We are attempting to raise $9000, which will cover the cost of the car, as well as establish a fund for gas and repairs.  If you or someone you know can help with this make a donation.
